Imperial College London (ICL) embodies and delivers world-class scholarship, education and research in science, engineering and medicine. It is consistently rated amongst the world’s best universities. The Department of Computing (DoC) of ICL is involved in Tesla. DoC is one of the largest computing departments in the UK and is a world leader in academic research in computer science. Dr. Stefanos Zafeiriou’s group in DoC is one of world-wide leaders in vision-based face analysis, including deformable face tracking, facial behaviour analysis, as well as facial biometrics. The group is leading various EU and UK research projects in all aspects of face analysis. The group has developed state-of-the art technology in facial landmark localization and tracking, as well as face recognition. The publicly available software in facial landmark localization and tracking has been used by various start-ups in the areas of facial biometrics and facial behaviour.
ICL is mainly involved in WP5. In this WP ICL team will deliver state-of-the-art face detection, face alignment and face recognition/verification technology.
