Anadolu University introduced the TeSLA system to its thousands of distance learners in 2017 spring semester within the scope of 2nd pilot. Students were informed about the pilot via the virtual learning environment-Blackboard and on Facebook groups. Face and voice recognition tools were tested by the volunteer students in 10 courses.
The TeSLA tools were integrated into practice tests on Blackboard. Around 20,000 students attempted to use the system and more than 1,500 completed the required learning activities. Consequently, it was clearly observed that most of the students had positive attitudes towards using the TeSLA system. More learners are expected to participate in the next pilot after the improvement of the system according to the feedback gathered from students and teachers.
