She received her B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Universidad de Alcalá, respectively. Since June 2001, she is a lecturer at the Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunication Studies of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) with a permanent position. She has participated in several national and international research projects devoted to the development of technology that applies the Semantic Web to eLearning specifications and standards. Her current research interests deal with knowledge representation with particular application in technology enhanced learning. From a teaching perspective, she coordinates Undergraduate and Master database courses.
Dra. Elena Rodriguez will be involved in UOC tasks within the WP5 and WP7, which are basically centered in to design the TeSLA system and she will also be in the development of pilots with her UOC subjects.
