Claire Lobet-Maris is senior professor at the Computer Science faculty at University of Namur teaching sociology, organizational sciences and technological policy in bachelor and Master programmes of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and of the Faculty of Law. She is also Research Director at the Centre of Research Law, Information & Society (CRIDS)
Her main domain is the sociology of the digital trying both to understand the emergence and the meaning of the technological objects in our late modernity and their impacts on the agency and on the social interaction.
Through various projects (mostly) founded by EC (FP 5, 6 and 7), Claire Lobet-Maris has developed a pragmatic methodology to set up an effective value sensitive design for the development of digital artefact.
