Mariana Durcheva PhD, Associate Professor in Mathematics Master degree in Mathematics and Informatics from Sofia University and PhD degree in the field of Cryptography on the topic: “Discrete logarithms and generalizations of cryptographic protocols using semigroups and semirings” from the Technical University of Sofia. Participant in research summer schools and institutes: Sixth Summer School on Potential Theory and Applications, Sofia, 2007 Ninth Summer school in potential theory, Budapest 2009, Applications of Computer Algebra, NY 2014 , NATO Advanced Study Institute, Ohrid 2014, Arithmetic of Hyperelliptic Curves.
Participation in R&D projects at institutional and national level. Her research interests: cryptography, applications of computer algebra, intelligent technologies for learning and teaching, fuzzy logic. Author of papers, published in scientific conference proceedings and journals member of two conference Program Committees: AMEE (scientific Secretary) and Sixth Summer School on Potential Theory and Applications.
